The past year, my father talked me about a movie called "Sleepers", he told that I have to see it and as he comanded, I downloaded the movie ansd we saw it together.
The movie is based on a novel of the periodist Lorenzo Carcaterra, and it show us a cruel reality, with too much violence, crimes, violations and abuses.
The story is about four chilhood friends, who lived in Hell's Kitchen, New York, this kids, Lorenzo Carcaterra, Tommy Marcano, Michael Sullivan and John Reilly at the summer of 1967 nearly killed a man, after pulling a prank on a hot dog vendor. They assumed their crimes and went to a young jail, the Wilkinson Home For Boys as a punishment.
In that institution they've passed a lot of abuses, given by the guards of the institution. Sean Nokes, Henry Addison, Ralph Ferguson and Adam Styler. The kids were sistematically abused and raped by them. That treatments changed the kids lives and their friendship forever.
Fourteen years after they leave the Wilkinson Institute, John and Tommy, now career criminal encounter Nokes in a restaurant on Hell's Kitchen and kill him in front of witnesses.
That movie more good, exept for the protagonists obviously
